Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
First, please complete our online project inquiry form so we can get to know you and your project. Then, if the project seems like a good fit, we will schedule a 10 minute introductory phone call at no cost to ensure our services align with your needs.
What is your pricing?
Moving beyond the free introductory phone call, we charge $250 for a 45-minute on-site consultation within 15 miles of Annapolis or $200 for a virtual consultation. A charge will be applied for distances beyond 15 miles. Our standard hourly rate used in calculating your design cost is $250.

What is your minimum?
$5,000 beyond the initial consultation for all services.
What areas do you serve?
Virtually; anywhere. Locally; Annapolis, Severna Park, Arnold, Edgewater, and other neighboring areas.
Can my contractor work off of your plans?
Yes, and they may contact us with any questions.
I know what I want but I just need help finalizing decisions. Can you assist?
Unfortunately, we do not offer partial service packages at this time.
Can I just pick your brain?
Yes! The fee is $250 per hour with 1 hour minimum.
Can you help with exterior design items?
Yes. We advise on color schemes, doors, windows, and other miscellaneous items if we are working on corresponding interior areas of your home.
Who orders the materials?
It depends. If you are working with a contractor, we will provide them with the material list so that they may order on their schedule based on when items need to arrive on site. If you are completing the project yourself, we can order items for you for a small fee or we can provide you with the material list with links so you can price shop/order at your convenience.
Do you mark up items?
No. This differentiates us from many other design firms.
Do you have tradespeople you can recommend?
This varies per project. If local to Annapolis, we have a preferred list of builders, contractors, and architects that we can refer you to. Some clients have brought in their contractors, and others have completed renovations on their own. It is important to note that we are not General Contractors and will not assume that role at any time during your project but we will manage the design side of things if project management is a part of your design package.
What areas of the home do you design most often?
Kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, and laundry rooms.
Do you help select appliances?
Selecting the appropriate appliances is a highly individualized decision, influenced by a variety of price points and quality alternatives. We will provide you with size options and facilitate a connection with an appliance expert.
